MazoCards is a web flashcard app that turns material generated by ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or another AI assistant into a study-ready deck with spaced repetition. Temporary and local decks work without an account.
Choose the workflow that fits your AI
- ChatGPT: ask the official MazoCards GPT for a topic or give it your notes. It creates the deck and replies with a study link.
- Any AI chat: use the prompt builder, ask for cards, then paste the complete response into Import.
- Network-enabled agents: tools such as Codex or Claude Code can use the public API workflow and return a temporary link directly.
Do I need an account?
No account is required to try MazoCards, study a public deck, use a local deck, or open a temporary AI-created deck. A temporary API link lasts for seven days. Google Sign-In is optional and lets the learner save decks to an account, synchronize devices, and preserve future review progress.
What does MazoCards add after the AI writes the cards?
The importer detects Markdown tables, normal lists, CSV, TSV, and JSON; removes recognized table headers; and can read deck title, category, tags, notes, and language settings from a bounded configuration block. The finished cards become packs for active recall and spaced review. Text-to-speech is available for language decks without forcing audio on science, programming, or general study material.
Can an AI assistant create the deck directly?
Yes, but only when it has a tool or environment capable of making an
outbound HTTP POST request. It sends structured JSON to
https://api.mazocards.com/v1/decks and returns the response
url. A text-only chat should use the documented Markdown
fallback instead of claiming it created a link.
